Sales and Admin Assistant

Fixed Term 6 month contract, with the possibility to extend based on workflow.

 

There is an exciting new role within Jetstream Tours as a Sales and Admin assistant to develop the sales of the company’s products of passenger vessels and training courses. 

The role will be based at our new offices at Innovation Studios, Strood, and operational piers in Chatham, Queenborough and Gravesend. A successful candidate will be required to work minimum 22.5 hours per week Monday-Friday (with at least 6 weekends over the year). 

 

The role will be reportable to the Managing directors. Within the role the Sales and Admin assistant will be responsible for the following:

 

·       To build relationships with other local attractions, groups, and event promotors.

·       To take phone calls and answer customer queries, complaints, and rebooking.

·       To take bookings and to ensure customers and groups receive their tickets following payments.

·       To liaise with media, advertising suppliers, social media, promotional campaigns, and website management for the promotion of the company.

·       To create with the approval of the Managing director and deals and promotions and publicise in the appropriate manner.

·       To administrate charters, supplies, catering, and staff roster to ensure good client experiences.

·       To administrate course bookings, supplies, and staff roster and to ensure RYA requirements are met.

·       To carry out admin tasks, such as Day-to-day banking, invoicing and returns, performance reporting and client submissions. 

·       To attend trade shows and promotion days, face to face customer engagement at events, including ticket sales.

·       To develop and promote products to delivery. Deliver up to date calendar of events throughout the year in order to maximise use of the company’s assets while allowing time for maintenance and management working with relevant colleagues to do so. 

·       Maintain the training of colleagues, certification of equipment and roster management 

·       To carry out other duties as required by the Managing Directors.

 

More hours are available for activities such as events, assisting delivering products on vessels and longer talks to local groups.

 

Experience: 

 

Must have a good working knowledge of Excel and word. 

Cash handling skills a must.

Previous attraction sales desirable.

Good Communication Skills

Clean driving licence

Salary:  

Annual salary will be based on experience.
